Karina Laflamme founded Headster Kids in her basement in 2015. Since then, she has been dedicated to creating imaginative and playful worlds for kids to evolve in.

At first, she wanted to find cool clothes and accessories for her son, Elliot. But she was disappointed by the overly “cute” options available in children’s fashion. So, Headster was born and managed to shake up the industry! Karina is proud of both her roles as a mother and as a woman in business. They have served as a major source of motivation for her. Her goal to shatter stereotypes is reflected in the very essence of Headster. She has no problem being in a traditionally male-dominated role. In fact, she feels right at home, and she hopes that her efforts will help to improve the status of women in society.

Now at the helm of three Canadian companies, Karina never imagined gaining success so quickly. Her team continues to grow, and tags along on all her adventures. Office life is full of twists and turns, but that's what makes the journey even more exciting.

Finally, while Headster is still very young, the future undoubtedly holds many surprises. Karina and her team are ready to tackle whatever challenges come their way.
